Background
Dr. Yijia (Eddie) Zhao is a lecturer of finance at the Fletcher School of Tufts University and an associate professor of finance at the College of Management of the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Zhao’s academic research has focused on empirical corporate finance, financial intermediation, and banking. He has published in leading academic journals, including Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Business Ethics, etc. He is also a chapter author of the Oxford Handbook of Banking (4th edition) published by Oxford University Press. His research has been presented at top academic finance conferences, universities, research institutions, and regulatory agencies. Dr. Zhao has taught a variety of finance courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels. Dr. Zhao received his PhD in Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
