Look Beyond an MBA. Prepare to Become an International Problem-Solver.

The Fletcher School’s online Master of Global Business Administration (GBA) provides you with the knowledge, network, and experience you need to thrive in the global economy of today and tomorrow. The curriculum goes beyond core business competencies to help you develop contextual intelligence—an understanding of the non-business factors that affect the business of any domestic or international organization, including geopolitics, global security, supply chains, economic policy, emerging market dynamics, and international law and regulations.

Fletcher GBA students learn to be adaptable in shifting circumstances and new contexts. Experiences gained throughout the program help them acquire and sustain rewarding careers in a constantly changing world.

Learning Business, Crossing Borders

The GBA curriculum is steeped in the global context of 21st-century business. Master’s learners study core business topics like finance and strategy related to international trade flows, global capital markets, and foreign legal regulations. Instructors emphasize contextual intelligence so students can adapt quickly and incorporate various concerns such as global politics, sustainability, international finance and law, and data analysis into their daily work.

Program Overview

Working students can choose to study at a full-time (16 months) or part-time (24 months) pace. Every cohort begins their study with the core courses Corporate Finance in Global Capital Markets and International Strategy and Innovation. Electives then cover these focus areas:

  • Business Foundations
  • Global Context
  • International Law
  • Analytical Tools

Immersion Experiences

The GBA program features two in-person immersions: one on Tufts University’s Boston campus and the other in an international location selected for each cohort. The on-campus immersion leads into the capstone, a group-focused, real-life “lab” project where you’ll build a team, tackle a problem, and manage a complex project for a real-world organization.

The international immersion provides you with the opportunity to build connections with your cohort and The Fletcher School network as you learn the complexities of international business firsthand.
